I do agree that shuting off the fuel to empty the float bowl on an older Cub that doesn't have the fuel solenoid so a leaky carb doesn't drain your whole fuel tank on to the floor, that still doesn't solve the original problem. There is something wrong, whether it's dieseling or, electrical.The real problem should be fixed first.
