You still might just be fighting the a bad solenoid. Check your incoming
voltage to the solenoid. If you have twelve there then jump across
the two big posts on your solenoid to check if it is good.
Might be a bad connection on the key as well. I would get the
meter out before I started moving wires around guessing.
As George would say " You don't want to let the magic smoke out"
Could create a whole lotta troubles you don't have.
Did you locate the wiring diagram in the tech section. Good place to start.
