Default Buying a new Cub cadet. So many options

My 2010 Cub Cadet SLTX-1050 has officially kicked the bucket.
Model # 13WQ92AP010
Kohler engine SV730

I have replaced nearly 80% of the original parts to keep it going this long. Got many good years out of it but it's time for something new.

  1. I need something robust that can cut a yard that is up to 3 acres.
  2. Is robust enough for plowing snow in winter (SLTX-1050 was a champ!)
  3. Don't need bells and whistles, but comfort is important in old age.
  4. Can tow heavy loads with an attached 2-wheeled cart.
  5. The wider the cutting deck the better. SLTX-1050 was 50".
  6. A transmission that can handle moderate hills without overheating.

Reviewing this site for days, I've concluded the XT2 GX54D model would be a good fit but I think it's discontinued. Based on expert opinions in here, are their models that replaced the XT2 GX54D which have similar/same specifications? Suggested other models?

A friend told me dont get the SLX 50 if I'll be pulling a 2-wheeled cart behind it filled with wood or pushing snow because it'll blow the transmission, and to find one that uses the K58 or K62 transmission. Would the XT2 GX50 with the K58 transmission be sufficient?

Thank you

If it's loose and supposed to be stuck, use duct tape.
If it's stuck and needs to be loose, use WD-40.
