This may be good to know about...
I recently watched a video of a guy named Jimmy Mack, who has a you tube channel called "Mackland Cub Cadets," take a hydraulic cylinder from a 1650 or 1450 Quietline Cub (either one will work) and use it to make a power angle setup on a 42 inch blade.
He even used the cylinder bracket from the Quietline and attached it to the blade pivot assembly and only had to enlarge two holes that lined up and drill a third hole to mount it. Jimmy did have to fashion a small shaft for the other end of the cylinder to attach it to the blade. He was able to use the hydraulic lines to attach them to the front of the tractor as well. Imagine, a ready made, easy setup for a power angle blade!
Jimmy Mack is a very clever fellow! I believe he is located near Hamburg (Randolph) in Chautauqua County NY, which is located in the southwest corner of New York State.
He buys and sells tractors (mostly Cub Cadets). He disassembles tractors and sells the parts to anyone who wants to buy them, kind of like a garden tractor junkyard. He likes dealing with Quietlines and cyclops style tractors. Jimmy has many repair videos to watch on you tube that will help you with all kinds of repairs and project ideas.
