2. Measure the cable length, buy a universal throttle or choke cable and install the new cable in your used housing.
3. If just the tip or "Z" bend was damaged rebend another connection on your old cable. Loosen the clamp and readjust. I did this on my 1572 and it worked fine, readjusting the clamp on the cable was able to give me full range of throttle motion.

I ended up putting a hose clamp on the plastic clip and heated it up clamped it down to hold it on the cable works for now 140dollars was too much for me to spend on a throttle cable
