No, you do not need to remove the manifold just be careful not to loose the bolts.
I will not use electric pumps, good old mechanical work for 30 or so years before they go bad.
Do get the oil changed ASAP as gas thinned oil will cause very bad things to happen to the internal engine parts making them escape to the outside.
