Champion Spark Plug Gap Confusion
I'm running a 1981 782 with a KT-17 II on Champions and always follow the Kohler Owners Manual (dated 12/95) for plug type and gap. It calls for RV15YC or RV15YC4 with a gap of .025 on Page 10.
It was brought to my attention that there was a Cub Cadet Corporation Service Bulletin dated 9/27/1993 that states that the "NEW Air Gap to be used by all technicians effective immediately is now .045" when using Champion plugs.
That's quite a size difference! What do the Kohler experts here recommend? I don't want any performance issues.
Many thanks,
ccguy
