Did a major clean job on it....dipped and soaked it...sprayed carb cleaner thru everything today (again)...A few weeks ago i overhauled it, did the throttle shaft repair. Only thing i noticed that wasn't quite right, the throat of the carb was alittle wallowed out where the throttle butterfly sits. It still seems to run fine, just can't get anything to change when turning in the low idle screw..i'm thinking the out of round throttle body has something to do with it...

The idle air screw provides a air bleed around a closed butterfly.
if the bore is not being closed tightly by the butterfly, due to wear, that probably would cause your lack of adjustment.
If you take the needle completly out while @ idle, it should stall, unless something is really amiss.
Also if you have a lot of butterfly opening determined by the idle
rpm screw, it will diminish the air bleed screw effect somewhat
But if it is running sweet, I would not worry/fool with it.
