The gentleman that purchased that fine machine lived in Genoa N.Y. about 10mi from Moravia. She spent her whole life on the farm mowing all the farm property's. That fine little girl has spent her whole life parked in the barn when not in use. I think that is why the steering wheel and center cap are in such fine condition. Original owner passed on in the early 2000's and his son acquired her and mowed with it for a couple more years.
She got to the point were her heart was tired and parked in the barn half covered up. Thank God in was the back half from the steering column back. The hood was covered in pigeon poop when I acquired her in 2008. I paid a little over a 100 dollar bill for it. Pulled the motor and let my friends son rebuild it for me. He was in BOCES small engine class and needed a project for class. I used it very little after the motor was done. Mowed the yard a couple times and me and the grand son rode it around in the woods a little. And now Teet owns the old girl and a 122 and I have a nice shiny red 682. She has been put in good hands now. Take care of the old girl Jeff. Hope I didn't bore everyone.
No boredom here! Great story on both sides and can relate in many ways of tractors I had in the past and seeing them leave. Also I never have seen a yellow stripe 102 rubber seat before,I thought Ohio Rubber Co.made them in a blue stripe only?
