I was thinking of using the motor from a 147 in my 73. Will this work? (i believe 147 is narrow frame, but some people told me it will not work.)

If it won't work, why not?

Also, are there any better ideas for a gasoline engine with more power?

I don't have the replacement motor yet. So, awaiting advice.

I love my 73 and want to use it again. I'd rather repower with more power than fix the old motor with bad carb and bad rod knock.
