I got the carb rebuilt on the 125 yesterday and set it to the default settings and it runs like a top! I didn't have to make any changes to it. It felt nice! I also got a replacement sediment bowl on it. That was a pain in the . I showed Evan how to fire it up from the seat. I had been using vise-grips to keep the choke open. It was a hack job but was tempoary until I got the gas flowing from the tank. The sediment bowl was the problem.

I got some seat time on the 1200, Evan made sure I didn't get to drive any more then he did,so he fired up the 125 and we made laps. When I started working on getting Allen's 122 running again Evan was still making laps in the yard.

With Allen's 122 I put the carb, coil, gas tank, plug wire ect back on and put a new autolite 216 in for him. I installed the new key switch and choke cable Allen picked up. I got a new battery for the 1200 and used it to start up the 122 and fell in love with the 425 cold cranking amps it got!

Hearing the 122 running was great but kinda sad I know it's a matter of time before Allen gets it and it becomes his. The thing that makes it easier is I know it's going to a good home and it will be well taken care of, and I did tell Allen if he ever got tired of it I would buy it back.

I'm going to call the machine shop tomorrow and price out to have the 301AQS rebuilt. It's burning oil and I'm not going to keep pouring oil in it. It needs to be rebuilt and so I'm going to make it happen. I'm not looking forward to the bill but it's going to be worth it when I take to to the redneck plow day and feel the power of it being rebuilt.

It was a great day with some good seat time and wrenching time.
