Default New to the site, but not new to Cubs

Hi all, This will be long...

You guys have a great site and have had me loseing sleep for the past month reading. This all started this spring when the 129 lift handle broke the pin at the shaft and I had to pull the fenders again. I haven't done a lot of major work on the ol girl in the last few yrs. and the more I looked at it I figured it was time to get after it. I've had this 129 for about 15 yrs now
bought it used for 250$. and did a lot of mowing at the apartments for about
7 yrs. plus all the snow plowing and when we bought the house all the landscaping. So I came across this and a few others looking for help and info
on the stuff I was fixing after about 6 wks. shes like a new tractor and runs great. Like I said not new to cubs Dad had a couple of cubs when I was a kid in the late 60's and I mowed grass and plowed snow around the neighbor hood.
When we bought the 129 the motor was on it's last leg so we rebuilt it wore that out short blocked it wore that out and put a new 14 hp in about 10 yrs. ago and it's still running strong, and jumped the deck from a 42 to a 48 at the same time, all ways wanted a 149 LOL . So the last 6 wks she got a PTO rebuild, steering box done, Hydro flushed, new rear fiber disk, S/G checked, new drive flange, paint ( just rattle can, and a lot of it ) seat and a used set of fatty's for the rear axle, and some more small parts. Still has the org. decals on her.
Now here's the funny part the wife does know how to run the ol girl and she's never said a word at the cost of the parts I was putting into her and reading all the post about having more than one I thought why not. I did find
another 129 for parts, that was in a pasture and bought it for 30$ no motor and I've had my eye on this 149 stopped to see the guy about a week ago motor puked ( not sure whats wrong yet ) he was looking to sell so yesterday morning I picked it up and now have 3, motor job 1st on the list, and when I pulled in the wife came out and just shook her head, she asked whats wrong with this one I said motor puked and she asked how long to get it fixed??? I am going to do a good rebuild on the 149, so I got a winter project now. Missed out on a 104 and know where there is a 127 yet might get it.
So the bug has got to me and I am looking. like I said great site and a lot of info. Will try to get some pics. up soon.
Just in case anybody needs a deck I know where there is 2- 50A's and I think it's 44C ?? they where all in good shape and solid with carriage's will get you a ph. # if interested E mail me.

You all take care
Ding
