Also took the thrower and front end off the 71 to fix loose flywheel pulley, and Lew was right  . The crankshaft key was toast, so I'm in the middle of replacing that and threadlock the set screws, have to get ready for the snow, calling for 8-12" here tomorrow night into monday morn

WOW,that pulley is toast! I have a question,is it normal for thr PTO pulley to have two sets of set screws,one on top of the other? When i pulled the one off my 123 it had that,and i didnt know it. Needless to say i wasted a hour trying to figure out why it wouldent come off,now that i know it seems like a good idea

The top setscrew is a lock for the setscrew that holds to the shaft. Very normal. I have a 124 and a 107 with pulleys that bad. Im dreading pulling those off- but the good thing is not worrying about saving the pulleys!!
