Default 2165 PTO Help

New guy here. Cool site you guys have. I really like all the old Cubs you guys have brought back to life!!

Yesterday, I scored what I thought was a pretty sweet deal. I picked up a 2165 for 50 bucks. It has exactly 600 hours on it. It also came with a folder containing the manuals and every receipt from servicing so I know it was taken care of regularly. It runs perfect and everything operates just like it should with the exception of the PTO. It will not engage. It doesn't do anything. I called a dealer and asked how to tell if the switch or relay is bad or if the clutch is really bad. He said it's never the relay. My reading around here and a couple other places says different. When I pull the switch when not sitting on the seat, the safety mechanism takes over and tries to shut down the tractor so I believe the switch is good. I'll go and pick up a relay this afternoon and try that so I can rule that out. Hopefully that fixes it but wanted to know if there is something else to be looking for? If I do wind up replacing that clutch, how big of a pain is it? Thanks ahead of time for any replies.

When I get this fixed, it will only be used for mowing, no heavy work in its future. Hoping to get many years of service from it.
