The first thing you will have to do is make sure you have the correct bottom pulley on the angle gear drive for the tiller. Your 782 uses a 5/8" belt. The 1 and 1a tillers originally came with a pulley for a 1/2" belt for the early model tractors. There is a belt chart in the implement technical section on page 2 towards the bottom of the page under Tiller Belts. They give the belt number to order since I do believe it is NLA from cub.
