Here is a "laymen's" suggestion.

Once the tractor is shut off, disconnect one of the Battery Cables. Pull the cable away from the terminal. Now go back and touch the terminal. If you notice any kind of spark, that indicates a load (short) somewhere. This now indicates you will have to trace this condition down.

This is assuming, that you have had your battery checked and is good condition.
