44" deck items needed:
The center pulley number you need is: IH-59703-C2 $42.71
Will need PTO belt number : IH-59971-C1 $29.89
You will need three of these blades: 759-3838 $39.69/ea.
The front pulley arms on the mule drive will need to be bent to correctly align the belt with the off center pulley on the 44 deck. You don't want to shred a new belt.
My 44C deck cuts like a dream. I really like it better than the older 42" decks.
If I am wrong on something or have missed something I am sure someone will chime in and correct the problem. Hope all of this helps.

OK, if that was any more thorough you would have had to come down and do the work FOR me!! So I am going with the pulley fits the spindle but uses a 1/2" belt and the belt is a different length so the need for change. I knew the blades were different length so that was pretty much a no brainer. If I mount the deck on the mule drive system that is on it the pulley will be off center? I have the mule drive/carrier for the C deck, but the pulleys would be 5/8 instead of 1/2. Would there be an advantage to switching the mule drives or just the pulley and front deck hanger to fit the old carrier? Thanks for the great info, you guys are awesome!!! Might just get some bearings for the moment till I can get all the parts together. Bet a few bearings are cheaper, still will leave a trail of grass, but it takes a little time for me to get this stuff going. I am guessing the 44C would not pull any harder than the 42" without baffles and weak bearings.
