I just used my thumb to clean it off. Good point though! Thanks for the info on that one. I am thinking when the time comes I will just scrape off a bunch of the crap then likely use a spray can of engine shampoo to clean it up on the outside the best I can before taking off the carb and exhaust, don't need stuff falling in where it doesn't belong.
I think that will be my job tomorrow, check out what parts I need for it and get them ordered.
