Havent started on the carb yet. Supposedly it was rebuilt according to the seller but who knows. It did fire and ran for about 5 seconds and shut down. When I got it to the shop it wouldn't fire or spark at all. Checked coil values-good. The volt regulator on the outside there is a coil wrapped very thin wire around a solid conductor that appears to be burnt. I think it shorted because the rubber isolators are broken off. Can I use a solid state auto style regulator?
