When I put the fiber ones on I clean out the hole on the PTO arm with some 150 sandpaper. Then I taper the fiber button with the same 150 grit paper.Using the turnbuckle on the PTO rod,I slowly turn it until it is seated in the hole on the PTO arm. Then I tap lightly with a hammer to set it tight .Most times I get two buttons just in case the first one breaks, but I have had no problems since doing it this way.
