Thanks for the note on the seat springs. I also remember the rear end and the front axle being black, which is another sign of it being a CCC machine. That is why I need to look at it again, and check the serial number. 4th of July weekend is when the decision will take place. I also really want to look over the 682 he offered originally.
Somewhere I have a picture of my current 782 and this one in my driveway together on trade day. The serial numbers were not that far apart. That was the day that I had 2 782's for about 10 minutes.
My yellow one is 700647 or something like that.
For now, I am trading to the same person the 44" deck that is on that red tractor for a 50" deck so I can help my off topic garden tractor mow my 5 acres. A 44" deck makes a unit more attractive to the Suburban DeKalbites in Northern IL. They pay big money for a machine that looks like a real tractor.
