If Avy=Avalanche, Chevrolet made some on 3/4 ton chassis. Most are on the 1/2 ton frames though. Easy to tell by the 8 lug axles, as the 1/2 tonners use 6 lug axles. In the meantime, I'd look into street oriented performance brake pads if you notice brake fade with your current setup. For towing I'd get Wagners or Raybestos at least; stay away from the bronze/silver/gold mystery brand brakes at the parts store. One other benefit to the 'good stuff'- less dust on the wheels and less brake noise.

If you tow a lot, also look into a larger transmission cooler. My grandpa-in-law had a F350 diesel that had a bad transmission when he got it, and he burnt it up in 2 years of pulling a 5th wheel camper. Of course, Arizona heat and a big ol camper aren't good factors in keeping a transmission cool, especially in the mountains. Ever since then I've been a big proponent of aftermarket transmission coolers/high capacity auto tranny pans, etc. Lots of options out there. PM me if you have any questions.

Back to cubbin!
