When I got my 1200, the bendix was the worst problem, but it tended to stay disengaged no matter how much cleaning and oiling I did. Eventually, I won, and it gave in and worked properly. Try some EZ slide. I almost emptied my first can, and its not on my mower deck yet. I use it on everything that does not have grease fittings but should..... Next time I pull my motor, Im coating the driveshaft with it.
