Default using 'restore' in a GT engine

A guy I work with just gave me a call that his dad gave him a late 80's early 90's Murrary GT. He said it smokes some and seems "weak". Whatever that means I don't know. He is wondering if he could put some Restore in the engine and if it would make any difference. He knows it is on its last legs but he's hoping to get the summer out of it.

You all think it would hurt? I've never messed with the stuff, just read the cans. And again, it's something he's just looking to get about 4 months of use hopefully.
