That switch probably won't work, as most switches now are for machines with a magneto ignition and not battery ignition like the 782 has. The patent number matching doesn't mean anything other than some of the technology used in both switches is the same. It does not mean the switches are the same or interchangeable.

The correct switch is 925-3021 and is available from a CC dealer, the sponsors, and probably many other places for $25. It's not worth trying to kludge something else on there when the parts are readily available and reasonably priced.
