Breather tube
On an auto this tube will have a check valve in it. I'm not sure if our motors have any such thing but it would make sense that there would be some kind of restriction or valve to prevent what is happening to your filter. Also the breather tube needs crankcase pressure to work so maybe there is extra pressure coming from some other source. Maybe ring blow by or a broken ring? I would bet on this area being the cause of your problem. But hey, I am not that familiar with Kholer engines and their internals.
