I used a broken leaf from a truck spring
They are about 2-1/2" wide and maybe 3/8" thick.
I just bent them up @ a 45* angle on each end (using a torch) and welded them to the worn out skids on the Qa42 thrower
I'm sure they will outlast me!
cheap,easy, works great, and they wear like plow shares!
