Just to throw in  to the mix and I might be out to lunch...
If your looking at a Brinly plow, everyone that I have looked at that was to be and once measured, a 12" one - they have the tail of the molboard squared off it they original.

But if you look at what is to be a 10" or an 8" they have a completly rounded molboard.
That's just what I have found....maybe I am wrong?
