I have a '92 model 1862 with the M18S Magnum engine with lots of hours. It became hard to restart last summer at operating temps.
I dropped the fuel bowl and found crud in the bottom of the bowl. I cleaned it up and installed a new float/needle kit and that cured the hard start when hot.

Another time it became hard to start anytime and found loose screws that held the elbo on the carb air intake.
