1872 electrical problems
Hello all, I posted in the new forum, but was advised to post here as well.
Hello from SW Iowa folks.
I just recently aquired a 1872 that belonged to my father. I remember going to the farm auction where he purchased it about 25 years ago.
My father pasted away in 2001 leaving the up keep and maintenance to my brother and bro-inlaw. Over the years they have focused on just keeping it running shade tree style with out proper up keep; this has resulted it hacking some of the wires & splicing to get something to function.
Now for the problems I've inherited:
the PTO switch will only work by holding the switch up. (What switch do I need?)
after 20-30 minutes of mowing an inline fuse added between the amp gauge and switch blows.
I've replaced the clutch thinking it was the problem, and tried to trouble shoot the wiring but I need a wiring diagram for this tractor. Does anyone have one to share?
I also have a 582 upgraded to 18 hp kohler with hydrostat and a 782 not running at present.
If anyone could help with a schematic I would appreciate it.
Thanks Bob
