Thanks for the pictures. That must have been how mine was. All that is left of it is the threaded stud and the wiper arm.

Maybe I will just put it back like yours for now and find/make a handle. I really don't think I will need it that much because I don't have the doors for mine. With it not being enclosed, I am thinking the windshield shouldn't get warm enough to melt the snow falling on it unless it is a warm wet snow fall.
