Mine looked the same way. Looked like the PO tried using mine to move some bricks!!!  I ended up purchasing an auger/rotor from a vendor here and now it looks like new. Anything can be repaired if you have enough time/money. Maybe I should have bought one restored as it may have been cheaper that way. Oh well, live and learn.
