No not trying to make my own, just trying to get the one I have to work. I picked one up from the guy I bought my tiller from. It is a homemade unit, but he had made quite a few of them and even had them on his other cubs and they worked fine. It didn't come with all the pieces so I have been picking them here and there. Anyways, everything fits on the tractor but the lift bar hits the axle/rearend before the hitch is all the way down. It looks like I can just move mounting hole up but I wanted to make sure that was the issue before cutting/drilling. The lift bar is a reproduction as well that I purchased from ihccw.com (i believe). The measurement on mine is 5" so based on the information provided, that seems to be the problem.
