Most of us really don't like high alcohol content fuel because of problems it causes,
but what surprises me is the fact that mower is "new" and it is suppose to be compatible with up to 10%
What comes to mind is, did someone induce high content alcohol in to it, like E85 or was the gasket not compatible?
Is the Gasket really "dissolving" or is it just damaged and thus clogged the fuel inlet components.
I'm Glad you were able to "rescue" Mom.
I remember telling my Mom when I helped her it was just payback for all those messy diapers I caused her to change.
I'm thinking "Premium" fuel is not recommended in a low compression small engine,
and remembering now a days, they tend to up the Alcohol content in premium to increase the octane rating.
