I love my Kubota but my local dealer sucks! They charge way too much for parts and are not very friendly. Nothing like hearing that the dealer is mad because you fixed it and they couldn't.

Our dealer is very similar.
Just an update. Mom gave the tech guy from Kubota my home phone number and of all things he called me yesterday afternoon. We discussed the trouble and he indeed said they gas caps were having issues with the gasket falling apart. Over tightening also seemed like some of the other issues. So, I explained to him the deal and he was very honest and helpful. They are indeed sending a new cap and he stated he will contact the dealer and talk with them. He said they probably couldn't help with the past bill since it's been too long of a time, but they will be sending mom a gift certificate for $100 dollars for things she could use at the dealer and she didn't need to buy anything to use it.He asked how the tractor is currently running and referred us to another dealership.I asked him if he had any info on the orangish fluid that was in the tractor and he thought it was some type of stuff used to put in the tractor after it left the factory as the motors are run and then shut down. He stated that they aren't allowed to put gas type fluids in when shipping. The last thing he said we discussed was my experience with working on tractors etc. I told him I have been wrenching a long time and actually enjoyed it. He stated he couldn't pay me as I am not a dealer, but he would send me a free Kubota hat...lol I told him about the stew and said if I invited him over,he'd bring me the hat..He was really helpful and extremely nice. Great to see not every company has forgotten their customers!
