Default Newbie in NH with a '68 125

I just discovered this site while searching for an answer to a question I have on the rototiller gearbox, but I’ll post my CC’s story first.

My ’68 125 was bought used by my grandfather in 1970. He used it for about 10 years to mow, snowblow, and rototill at his home in Hillsdale, NY. I started driving it around his yard and mowing his lawn with it when I was about 7 years old which would have been 1977 and loved every minute of it. In about 1980, he bought a used ’76 Wheel Horse. It’s a mystery why he replaced the Cub Cadet. He sold the Cub to my uncle who used it regularly until 1999 when he decided to sell it. Lucky for me, my cousins were not homeowners yet, so I got first dibbs. I bought it with the snowblower, rototiller, and mower deck. When I bought it from him, it ran, but it had a badly burned exhaust valve, and would not start without a jump even with a good battery. I rebuilt the motor and had the motor/generator rebuilt and have been using it all four seasons for the most part since then. My daughter is now 8 and loves driving it just as much as I did when I was her age. Sometimes I drive it to the bus-stop about ¼ mile away so she can drive it home. She can’t get on it fast enough. She tries to get on it while the bus is still in view so that everyone can see that she can drive it.
