I have the 3/8" x 81" belt installed. With the adjusting bolt backed all the way out, I have 4" of clearance where the manual says I should have 3-1/2".
The belt is installed with the bevel side into all pulleys from the pto to the drive pulley on the deck. I'm engaging the mow @ 800 rpms, I hear a load bang and the belt is off the adjustment pulley, (right side as you face the tractor). This has happened 3 times in a row. The belt is between the adjustment pulley and the arm on the right side that the pulley bolts to. I assume I need a longer belt to obtain the 3 & 1/2" clearance between the frame and the center of the pulley on the left? When the belt is installed, the drive pulley on the deck looks to be lower in the front, but the deck is level. Both pulleys on the mule drive are the same size, (both in diameter and the bevel for the belt). I'll get pics tomorrow and post.
I'm at wits end and about to put the 50" deck back on, stripped yard and all.
