First welcome to OCC. Secondly, congrats on an extremely nice 1211. That thing is super clean. As for did you make a good decision? YES you did. That 1211 will still be working for you a couple of decades after that green and yellow thing is relegated to the scrap heap. Do the required maintenance on it like you should and you will be a very happy man. There will be things that will happen from time to time like any piece of equipment, but taking care of these machines are fairly easy and worth the effort and time. Check you local craigslist and possibly ebay and friends for a wide frame front blade and for a snowblower. Some of the other guys here will know what model blower for you to look for. You can also post an add in our wanted section to see if any of the members might have what you want for sale. If you are not sure of the past history of maintenance on the 1211, most everyone will change the oil and hydro fluid and filter first thing to make sure it is all fresh and ready to work.
Something in that condition around here would sell for between $800 and $1200, possibly a bit more. But, location and condition play a huge part in how much something is worth. Mainly, if you are happy with your purchase, then the price really doesn't matter.
