I know of people that have repaired them. The question I have and it never has been answered.
When these people weld the cap back on, how do they protect the heat from compromising the "O" they just replaced..???
After all, Sundstrand did NOT weld the cap on when they manufactured it, they crimped it on.
I am with Duke, for the money, one might as well get a new one then one does not have to worry if that "O" was compromised.
