Frank as far as the drive shaft is concerned I am not sure about the cyclops shaft. I have a 1641 also and have never taken a close look at it as far as O.D. dimensions are concerned. Yes the 682 had the rag joint style shaft in it. The O.D. of them shafts are 5/8th which is the same as all the gear drive machines also. I used the coiled spring pins used in a gear drive shafts to pin them together. The pin diameter is 1/4in. I will be using the other half of that 2185 drive shaft in my 125 on the flywheel end.
