How bout the 2 speed rear end in the 400. Makes for a nice quick get away!
One major down fall the 400 has though, is that of all the other JDs thats out their, ONLY attachments that were made for a 400 will fit. Nothing else will interchange so that can be a pain when in need for tiller, snow blower, front blade etc...
I wouldnt kick either one of those fine machines out of my stable though.
