Cub cadet rzt50 loud
Hello, I have a cub rzt50 with a kholer 22hp engine. Over this past mowing season i noticed the mower started becoming louder (popping type noise), specifically from the left side of the engine. The mower still mowed fine, so I thought it was a bad muffler. However, at the very end of the season it became much louder and now vibrating horrible. Also, its hard for the deck to keep up now. The sound or vibration has never been associated with engaging the deck. I'm now afraid there is a problem with a piston. I have changed out the spark plugs already with no change. Oil has been okay the entire time. Hard for me attach a video, but I will try if no one has any idea. Thanks.

What model engine do you have? The parts look-up only show the Briggs or Kawi engine was available.
Pull the plug wire off of the cylinder that you think is making the noise and start it. Does it run or sound any different? Then do the same to the other cylinder. Pull the spark plugs and see if you can feel any compression on each cylinder. Or you can go to your local auto parts store and see if they have a compression tester you can borrow. I think most of the big auto parts stores have a tool lending program.
