Default 2186

Hi bought 2186 last fall with snowblower and snowplow to prepare for winter, we got a total of 6 inches that I had to plow right away before it melted. The tractor has 18 hp. Kohler motor with single barrel carb.My main problem is A rough idle and slite miss when driving it. I rebuit carb. and tryed adjusting idle fuel screw, new spakplugs, fuel filter, air filter, fuel pump seems ok. I am out of ideas Thanks for any help.

Today's gas goes bad very quickly. I highly suggest adding Starbrite StarTron to all your gas that sits in a container. I also add a few ounces of MMO ( Marvel Mystery Oil ) to 5 gallons of gas for all my small engines.

Try some fresh gas and see if that helps.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
