I have found what I think is most of a Simms cab for a garden tractor. What I need to know are a couple of dimensions. Can someone please give me a measurement for the outside width of the back rite were it meets the fender and the same at the front were it would go to the floor board. Then my next "assumption" is that they would be different for a regular 82 series and a super. Being the roof would have to be longer to make up for the longer frame ? I don't know if I am thinking correctly on that or not, I have never seen one in person. But either way can someone give me the roof dimensions (length/width) for a regular 82 series. And if they are different for the supers I think I can figure it out from there, unless some would happen to have those measurements also.
I would just set it on one and see but it is up in the rafters of an old timers out building, and I really don't want to deal with getting it down if it will not fit. He can't remember were it came from so he has no idea what it is for. But it is red with a white roof, so I am hoping. Thanks guys.

The cab I found looks to be just like this one that is in the for sale section.

The one for the super will have a rectangular hole in the right lower part for the brake pedals. If no one provides you measurements I can get some from my super cab on Tuesday.

Well I wrestled it out and got it home, the price was right even if it isn't. I am thinking it must be for a Deere. It is just like the one in the pictures above. I was hoping since it was red and white I would luck out. It is about 3-3 1/2 inches wider than the fender pan. I am going to set it on my 1211 sometime and see if it is even doable. I don't mind some fabrication but there is always that point were it is just not worth it. I am not looking for a sealed cab, just stopping the winter wind in the front and back would be fine.
If it is going to be to much work, I will just see if someone else needs it or try to trade it to Patton for something . Thanks

Well I did some messing with the cab today. Someone had the lower rear piece on back wards for some reason. I also removed the hardware for the doors as the brackets are far to rusted to be reused. The wife and I set it on the 1211 and it looks like it won't take much to make it work. The only problem I see is being able to open the hood. It is definitely not long enough for my super. Once I get it mounted I will have to dissemble it to paint and address some rust issues before they get worse.
It has a wiper with a spring over a "stud" on the inside, but no handle or motor. Does anyone no what is supposed to be there ? Also does anyone have any pictures of one of these mounted ? I would like to get an idea of how it is supposed to mount and maybe revise my plan of attack. I almost forgot, does anyone know what make or brand this may be ?

I did some investigating today and found out that this cab is a factory option cab for the older case/Ingersoll's. It will fit a cub 82 series with very minimal fabrication. If someone is near the one that was in the craigslist section and looking for a cab , that would be a good one to get.
Does anyone know of a source to get either a wiper crank or motor to use in these cabs ?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
