Since my Original is a long way from just about anything..I was wondering how hard it would be to adapt my blade to an 1810? I had contemplated making new mounts and "Hockey Sticks" to adapt it to the other tractor but wanted to avoid making it unuseable on the "O" should it ever get back in working condition.
Just a thought that I had but I would like to get some advice from someone who may have built/bought a conversion (if it is even possible). I would love to use this 1810 to push around some loose gravel and dirt but if it is going to be too much trouble..I might just keep surfing the "For Sale" section until one shows up. Thanks again guys! This site is such a huge help! Maybe one day when I actually figure out what Im doing, I will be able to give advice as well..lol PS: The blade I would like to use is the one pictured in my avatar. |

I'd find the correct blade for your 1810, and keep the Original blade for your O.

Ive noticed that the blade will detach from the front of the Original..would it be possible to just fab up a new mount for the 1810 and make it so that the blade is an option for both tractors?
Just throwing some ideas out there..Im not having any luck finding a blade used. Id have no problem fabing up something to make it work, I just wonder if Im going to run into angle problems because of the different heights of the two tractors.. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
