Default How I Tighten Tire Chains!
I have heard the deflate-inflate method. I do not want to be deflating-inflating when the snow is flying and the chains shift and become looser.

The rubber car binders are too big and dry rot in a couple years.

I like steel!



That spring is extended about 1/2".

The chain is a piece left over after I cut the chains to fit the 23x10.50's.

As the chains shift during use, the slack will be taken up.

Did I miss anything??

I will slap these on the QL1000 when the snow flies!!

I deflated my tires when I put the chains on about 5 years ago. I have not had a problem with them moving at all. I even deflated and filled them with fluid this summer. They went right back to were they should be.

If you get them on correctly and tight, they will not move.

I did the same two years ago, and haven't touched them.

I never use bungie cords, springs or any extra device to hold my chains on.....as jbollis said

Same here 3 years and no problems with the 2 link spacing on 3 tractors...
