Default 2072 purchase opinions please

I have found a 2072 ready to mow with dual hydraulics, but no 3pt for $1200 plus about $100 in fuel to pick it up and drive back home. I am thinking about selling my 108 and 149 to try to purchase the 2072. I have the 2284 so I am familiar with the supers but I would like to know if that is a decent price on the 2072? Is the 2072 worth giving up the 2 smaller tractors? What would a package deal price be for a 108 and 149? I don't have the budget to buy the 2072 and keep the other 2 so no need to suggest it LOL. I've been debating so send me your thoughts and ideas.

I would love to find a 2072 to add to my fleet. It should have the Kohler M20 in it. I think they are more durable and easier to work on than the Onans based on what members here have said in terms of issues with the Onans. If it is in running condition, doesn't need much work and the deck is good, $1200 is an awesome price. As you know, Supers are just plain hard to come by here in Ky. or about anywhere nearby. If you are not using each of the 108 and 149 for separate uses, such as one to mow with and one to plow and do work with, then yes, I would sell them both to be able to help finance the purchase. You can always start saving and find something else later on. The regular WF GT's are much easier to come by. But I can tell you, they are hard to go back to once you have been using a Super. You may be better off, selling the WF's separately. People are getting their tax returns right now, but many can't see putting too much money into packages. If I hadn't at the moment had to plunk down some $$$ to get my van back up and running, I would have loved to have gotten the 149 from you. I don't think you will have much problem selling them. This is all just my opinion and of course will vary with others. As mentioned a couple of pictures if possible would be nice to see to get a better idea of the condition and overall look.

Don't sell your wf's without first getting a commitment from the 2072 owner.I have a 2072 and they are the bomb.Mine is restored and I wouldn't think of selling it.But if I were to I wouldn't consider nothing less than 2500.00 for it.

2072 is worth that.....They are tough tractors....only issue might be the aluminum case...check it for cracks and wallowed out bolts.
Fix it to replace with cast iron case then you have a near bullet proof tractor.
I believe the dual hydraulics was standard...Every Super XX72 has had dual hydraulics and I have had a bunch.
The Magnum is a very strong engine. Only item to watch is the fuel pump...once and a while they rupture and fill the crank case with gasoline.
Once you have had a Super GT...you will not want to be without one...

Go for it!

I love my 2284 its really strong. I made him an offer and we have been emailing back and forth. I am going to list my 108,149 and extra set of rims and a #26 parts carb and hope they sell thick enough to buy the 2072 before it gets gone. Ill post info and pics in the for sale section soon.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
