new back blade
Picked up a new to me Brinly back blade today. I didn't need it, but the price was right in the wheel house.
After we got home, I had to put it on the 147 for a test run, worked ok, I still need to do a little adjustment with it. But had a little fun.

I was looking at my driveway today while I mowed and swept and said, I need a rear blade. Glad you found one, you may use it more than you think. Great find.

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to have my buddy make me a cutting edge for it though, that will help the blade from wearying out, plus it'll add a little extra weight, help it from bouncing around so much.
Question. Should I be using the lift straps without the slots, so when I put down preasure on it, it don't jump up and down? Makes sense, but in my mind, all things that look right always aren't.

I too have a Craftsman blade that looks about tha same as that one. I put a replaceable cutting edge on mine. I used 1/4" X 3". I had one of the guys in the metal shop at work punch some square holes in it in the same spacing as on my front blade.
