OCC tie rod/drag link
Well I got my axle and spindles for my 1961. And as soon as the weather breaks
 I'm going to clean it up and install. While I was looking at the front end I saw that a tie rod was bent. In the picture it's #7. It is arched over the axle bolt! My question is, is it worth trying to straighten? Or will that just help to fatigue the part and make it bend again after straightening?

Steel is pretty ductile. You can bend it back again. Bending it actually work hardened it, so assuming you get it straight, it's actually going to be a bit harder to bend again where the bend was. Of course, you could also heat the bend cherry red with a torch and then straighten it if you're worried about it.

I will be fatigued to some degree but, as long as it isn't kinked I would straighten it on a cub. I've done worse as a young man on my stock cars when in a bind at the track.
