Anyone ever make a Rear PTO rather than trying to search out a hard to find item as such????
Is the splined shaft coming from the Hydro on top "Live" and at 2000 rpm? Want to put a Cat 0 tiller on the Super but am finding it hard to accomplish with the stock CC parts.... Thanks For those that like pics,... |

There has to be a way to make one. Maybe someone should contact Xtrememotorworks and see if they can make one.

So does the pulley size difference change the rpm to 2k?? I'm not worried about having a live PTO since I can put a guard over it.. I can get the shaft and yokes from TSC and electric PTO from a vendor...Would need the dimensions for proper alignment of the bottom input...

I'm thinking about building one myself. The output of the pump shaft will be the same as motor RPM. It should be easy to get the ratio down to 2000 from the 3600 rpm driver. I think the hard part will be what the pto shaft hooks into on the tractor. I need to look at my 982 and see if it can be made or purchased.

My math says that if you have a 5" pto pulley on the rear, a 9" pulley on the driver will do the trick for an even 2k rpm.
4" PTO = 7.2" driver 5" = 9.0 6" = 10.8

I would think that the pump shaft would be a common spline....15 groove...
The Green Machines have the same type of pump...at least on the 318's... I would have thought there would be an aftermarket product for this already...? Here is a start at what it may look like... http://www.weekendfreedommachines.co...335/64765.html |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
